We're having a luncheon for family and close friends following my daughter's bat mitzvah services. There will be a party in the evening for the older kids, but I need to keep those at the luncheon (ages 4-14) entertained. I've hired a magician/mentalist but want something else. What do you think?
Call Hollywood Pop. They just opened "the party division" which is specifically geared toward this type of entertainment--some of the activities we especially liked were decorating soccer balls or skateboards, make-your-own chocolate bars, or a "friendly feud" game show. Another option is Wendy the Pipe Cleaner Lady. Yup, she has guests make all kinds of wacky stuff out of pipe cleaners. Before you think "no way," we've seen her captivate a room full of tweens and adults. Everyone looks good in a pipe cleaner hat.
Last year Hilary bought Alyssa's daughter a cookbook and Annabelle has spent the better part of the year perfecting the cookbook's macaroni and cheese recipe. Here's her version--the first one the children like that doesn't come out of a box and doesn't involve some sort of flourescent orange substance. The topping is our own special addition...but be forewarned: you won't be able to stop at one bite!
