My son has to make a card for every child in the class. It's always a nightmare. What can we do that will be easy and relatively pain-free?
We're already anticipating the drama of hand-writing Valentine's for every child in the class. This year we're doing cookies. As usual, Alyssa's going for the Pillsbury Slice and Bake. Hilary's taking it a step further and doing M&M cookies with pink and red candy. Pop two cookies in a cellophane bag, tie each one with a name tag, and you're good to go. A much saner solution than last year's cutting, gluing, and pasting fest that--how shall we put this--ended badly.
Last year Hilary bought Alyssa's daughter a cookbook and Annabelle has spent the better part of the year perfecting the cookbook's macaroni and cheese recipe. Here's her version--the first one the children like that doesn't come out of a box and doesn't involve some sort of flourescent orange substance. The topping is our own special addition...but be forewarned: you won't be able to stop at one bite!
