Sure the weather's been pretty crappy all winter but we haven't really had any snow to speak of. Until this weekend...it's Winter Jam 2009 on the East River at Houston Street. They'll be sledding on a 70' log flume, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice sculpture contests, and the ever-popular warming hut. The Jam gets underway on with a snowboarding demonstration featuring Olympic gold medalist Shaun White and continues through Saturday and Sunday. And it's all free!
