My kids are obsessed with kettle corn. Is it easy to make?
Our children love it too. Super easy to make....and it's an "activity." We love da sweet and salty! 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Makes 10 cups
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon sea salt
In a large pot with a tight-fitting lid or a Whirley Popper, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the popcorn. When the oil sizzles, sprinkle the sugar over the kernels. Cover and shake the pan until the popping slows down, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and toss with salt.
I want to serve nachos on Sunday--do you have a recipe? The really cheesy kind, not the ones with melted cheese.
You gotta go Velveeta. No other "processed cheese food" gives you quite the right consistency. Just put your blinders on, stick the whole thing in the microwave, hit 3 minutes and you're good to go.
Do you have a proven/easy recipe for a baked something to bring to a holiday party at school?

Combine flour, sugar, butter, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix well; stir in chocolate chips. Press dough into a 15 x 10" jellyroll pan. Beat egg white until frothy; brush over dough and sprinkle with candy. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly and cut into bars.
Last year Hilary bought Alyssa's daughter a cookbook and Annabelle has spent the better part of the year perfecting the cookbook's macaroni and cheese recipe. Here's her version--the first one the children like that doesn't come out of a box and doesn't involve some sort of flourescent orange substance. The topping is our own special addition...but be forewarned: you won't be able to stop at one bite! … [see more]
