Do you have a sure-fire way to toast the pumpkin seeds? They're always too chewy.
The secret is to make sure they're all dried out before you put them in the oven. After you rinse them, spread them on a cookie sheet and let them dry overnight. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees and line a cookie sheet with foil. Toss the seeds with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt. Spread them on the cookie sheet and bake for about an hour, tossing every 15 minutes, until they are toasty brown.
What can I do with the leftover candy?
Hilary was going to make a Butterfinger Layer Cake but she ate all the Butterfingers and a Smarties Layer Cake didn't sound very appealing. Alyssa couldn't think of what to do with all the Laffy Taffy so she ate every one out of her children's bags. Then ate every one out of Hilary's children's bags.
