Cooking Party Favors

Any recs for 6-year-old cooking party favors? Would like to order online if possible. Thanks.

What about giving each kid an apron to decorate at the beginning of the party and they can take them home as a favor? Have some fabric markers on hand. Check out Growing Cooks--they have a whole section of perfectly-priced cooking party favors.

Another slumber party question--need a favor for eight 11-year-old girls coming to a slumber party. Thanks!

Just saw these custom pillowcases. They'd be really fun at a slumber party because all the girls can sign them and write messages and then they take home them home as party favors. Be sure to have some fabric markers or Sharpies on hand for the signing.

Goody Goody

I'm having a birthday party for my 11-year-old son. Goody bags seem too juvenile and I hate buying all that junk anyway. Any ideas for a small "host" gift instead?

Those bags of junk are the worst! Alyssa's daughter went to a party last year and came home with a Barnes & Noble gift card. Or what about an iTunes card or a small box of Fat Witch Brownies?

Last year Hilary bought Alyssa's daughter a cookbook and Annabelle has spent the better part of the year perfecting the cookbook's macaroni and cheese recipe. Here's her version--the first one the children like that doesn't come out of a box and doesn't involve some sort of flourescent orange substance. The topping is our own special addition...but be forewarned: you won't be able to stop at one bite! [see more]
